The most consistently well made thing we handle, and also the most likely to arrive with real mileage on it, because the people who buy these walk in them. A New Balance with a worn tread and a sound upper is a normal and honest object, and we price it as one.
Look at the rubber under the heel on the outside edge in the photographs. That is where a walker wears through first, and the depth left there tells you more about what is left in a pair than its rating on its own does.
The suede and mesh panelling is glued as well as stitched, and a lifted edge along the mesh is the failure to check for. We press every seam before listing.
How the sizing runs
Widths matter on this brand more than on any other we carry. A pair marked D is a standard men's width and 2E is wider; where the width is legible on the label we print it in the title, and where it is worn away we say nothing rather than guess.
