Buying ANTA pre-owned
Chinese athletic footwear that arrives here in real numbers and is frequently newer than the western brands in the same lot. A lot of what we see has been worn for a season rather than for years.
The foam midsoles on the running lines are soft and they compress early, so the useful check is not the tread but whether the heel still springs back under a thumb. We do that check on every pair and it is why two pairs with identical soles can carry different ratings here.
The uppers are mostly engineered mesh with bonded overlays, and the overlay edges are where a used pair shows itself. Anything lifting is photographed close up.
How the sizing runs
Marked in EU and in centimetres on the tongue rather than in UK. Where a centimetre figure is printed we treat it as the most reliable number on the shoe and measure the insole against it, and the listing prints both.
